On Monday June 11, 2007 the entire student body of the Franco American School along with PJ's family, teachers and friends gathered in a semicircle to dedicate the polished granite bench pictured above. This bench is a realization of months of bake sales and special days where the students collected small sums and donations that made the purchase of this special "gift" possible. The bench is situated at the front of the school to the side facing the playground. Under a canopy of trees the "gift" will serve as a place of reflection for all of us that love PJ .It is a quiet area where we can stop, even if it just for a moment and remember the courageous young boy who loved life so much.
The bench and the dedication were a culmination of efforts by PJ's classmates, his teacher Mrs. Bernier, school principal Sister Lorraine and the entire student body.
